Sunday delight


Ingredients
1) potatoes deskinned (boiled and mashed)
    5- nos
2) shredded chicken (boiled in pepper and salt) -300 gms
3) butter 
4) pepper
5) garam masala
6) ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
7 coriander leaves chopped
8) mint leaves chopped
9) lemon juice squeezed-1tsp
10) onion chopped -2
11) green chilly -2 chopped


Procedure

Mash the boiled potatoes and keep aside. Add a small blob of butter along with some pepper and salt ,stir it well and keep it aside

Take a round bottom pan and add some oil into it.  Once heated add in the onions along with the chillies and ginger garlic paste. Fry the mixture until the onion turns mildly brown. Throw in the chicken into it and add 1/2 tsp of pepper and garam masala while stiring. simmer the flame while adding coriander and mint leaves and a bit of lime juice in the end.
Make flat palm shaped firm patties out of the potato mixture .To avoid sticky hands use a bit of oil..If the consistency is loose it can be compensated by adding a bit of breadcrumbs  or shredded bread pieces into it. The chicken mixture must be put over the patties and the patties must be sealed making round sized balls out of it
Dip the balls in egg and breadcrumbs before deep frying it until it turns crisp and brown on the outside..Serve hot with sauces of your choice :)

Martian Shrimps

Ingredients

1) shrimps (deshelled) 500gms
2) curry leaves- few sprigs
3) tomatoes- 3 chopped
4) paprika-1/2tbspn
5) garlic-5 cloves chopped
6) cumin powder- 1/2tsp
7) olive oil
8) small onions- 6-7 finely chopped
9)ginger-small piece (juliened)
10) chillies- 5 sliced

Procedure

Take a round bottom pan and smear some olive oil into it. Saute the small onions along with the chillies, garlic and ginger. Stir fry it until the onions turn light brown.Now throw in the shrimps and stir it along with the paprika and cumin powder.Once the colour of the shrimps turn from translucent to white add  the tomatoes and a bit of water..Simmer it for  a couple of minutes in medium heat and garnish with curry leaves.
Serve it with steamed rice
P.S. If you don't get paprika you can use chilly powder instead :)

INDO SHRIMPS PIZZA

Ingredients - (Serves 5)


 Pizza Base

1) Maida - 3 cups
2) Olive oil/ vegetable oil- 3 tbsp
3) Oregano- A pinch
4)Yeast- 1 tsp
5) salt - 1tsp
6) sugar- 1/2 tsp
 

Toppings

1) Tomatoes-5 nos
2) Ginger garlic paste-1tsp
3) Prawns -500gms(Deshelled)
5) Mozarella cheese -2 packets
6) Onion (1nos)

7) green chillies 1-2 

8)Paprika -1tsp

9)Capsicum(2 nos)

10)Oregano-a pinch


Procedure
For the pizza base. Take a bowl add the maida then the yeast ,oil , salt & sugar a pinch. Add water and knead it until the dough is uniform and bubble free. Take a moist cloth and cover it for 2 hours.


For the prawn topping, take a kadai add some olive oil to it. Saute with ginger garlic paste and chillies until the colour of paste turns light brown. Add the chopped tomatoes now and stir the mixture meanwhile adding the shrimps to it. Add a tsp of paprika now and  salt to taste.Stir for 5 minutes until the shrimps is cooked and turns white .Keep it aside. For the pizza sauce grind the capsicums along with one garlic clove and a bit of oregano until it turns into a purée 


Now take a nonstick tawa and rub in a bit of butter or  olive oil.. Make balls out of the dough and flatten it until it is like 1/2 cm thick or lesser.Make it circular like 15 cm dia . Take a fork and puncture everywhere on it .Now once the tawa is heated add the pizza base dough and let it heat one side until it is slightly brown..Turn the other side and now smear in the pizza sauce evenly .Add a layer of mozarella and the prawn mixture .Sprinkle diced onions with the capsicum sauce, prawn mixture, cheese and a bit of oregano. Cover the pan for some time and keep the flame low.Check the crust and it has to be like golden brown and slightly crisp.Cover for approx 10 mins , but you'll have to check once in a while so that the base doesnt get burnt. Serve it HOT!!!

Chicken thin crust pizza

                                             

So its been quite some time since I have come up with something. This pizza doesnt even  require an oven or a Pizza base.. It is quite simple indeed and easy to make..I bet you would'nt shell out 450 bucks next time for a medium size dominoes once you try this one.


Ingredients - (Serves 5)

For the Pizza Base
1) Maida - 3 cups
2) Olive oil/ vegetable oil- 3 tbsp
3) Oregano- A pinch
4)Yeast- 1 tsp
5) salt - 1tsp
6) sugar- 1/2 tsp


For the Toppings

1) Capsicum-3 nos
2) Tomatoes-5 nos
3) Garlic- 6 cloves
4) Sausages-5-6
5) Mozarella cheese- 2 packets
6) Onion - 1
7) Pepper
8) green chillies 1-2

Procedure

Start of with the pizza base.. Take a bowl add the maida then the yeast , oil , salt & sugar..Add water and knead it until the dough is uniform and bubble free.. Take a moist cloth and cover it for 2 hours..

In the mean time to make the pizza sauce take a small grinder or mixer and add 3 De-Skinned tomatoes,1 capsicum, garlic, pepper, a tsp of oregano,green chillies, salt to taste & mix it for like 15 seconds until you get a smooth sauce. Stir fry the remaining capsicum and tomatoes with pepper for a minute and keep it aside.Boil the sausages in hot water and keep it aside too.. Stir fry it with a bit of pepper if you want to..Its not really necessary though..But I did !! Dice the onions finely.

Now take a nonstick tawa and rub in a bit of butter or oil or extra virgin olive oil.. Make balls out of the dough and flatten it until it is like 1/2 cm thick or lesser..Make it circular like 15 cm dia ..Not necessarily though again xD.. Take a fork and puncture everywhere on it..Now once the tawa is heated add the chappati
shaped flattened dough and let it heat one side until it is slightly brown..Turn the other side and now smear in the pizza sauce evenly & generously..Add a layer of mozarella and the sausage & vegetable mixtures..Add some diced onions and top in with a lot of mozarella and the sauce.. Cover the pan for some time and the flame must be low like really low ..Check the crust and it has to be like golden brown and slightly crisp..Cover it approx 10 mins , but you'll have to check once in a while so that the base doesnt get burnt...Using a spatula serve it on a plate..Sprinkle a bit of oregano and serve it hot while the cheese is all melted with coke or pepsi!! So you can make like 5 medium pizzas with the above ingredients at a price which is even lesser than one single dominoes or whatever :-D

chicken burger

             


INGREDIENTS

* 1/2 kg grounded chicken
* 2 egg whites
* 1/2 kg mashed potatoes
* paprika/chillypowder 2 tsp
* pepper powder 2 tsp
* barbecue sauce 2-3 tbl
* breadcrumbs 100 gms
* dill/ salted cucumber
* fresh cilantro chopped
* salt to taste
* sunflower oil
* cheese slices
* garlic mayo
* fresh lettuce
* sesame buns halved

PROCEDURE

Take a large bowl..Add the grounded chicken, mashed potatoes, egg whites, barbecue sauce, cilantro,breadcrumbs and all the spices together..Mix well and form into patties..Take a non stick pan and add some oil..Fry the patties until it turns slightly brown on both the sides..Appy the mayo on both the sides of the bun and place the pattie gently on the bun..Add 2-3 dill , a slice of cheese and lettuce and cover the pattie with the other slice of bun..enjoy!!

Ingredients

1) cheese slices

2) Oregano

3) bread

4) roller

5) Readymade soup

6) Butter

Procedure

Flatten the bread using the roller and add a slice of cheese on it..sprinkle with some oregano ..Roll it gently and keep asisde..Make atleast  10 rolls..Heat a tawa , add some butter and place the rolls on it..The rolls must be handled carefully so that the cheese does'nt burst out and it must be golden brown and crispy outside..Serve hot with any ready made soup of your choice!!

CHILL'd OUT CHICKEN

                      

                             CHiLL'd OUT CHICKEN

     
          INGREDIENTS

     1) BONELESS CHICKEN - 1KG
     2)  ONIONS  3 nos
     3) 7-8 GREEN CHILLIES
     4)  TOMATOES  3 nos
     5)  RED CHILLY SAUCE 4-5 tbspn
     6)  SOY SAUCE 1-2 tbspn
     7)  PEPPER POWDER
     8)  GARLIC CLOVES 6-7 
     9)  SALT AND SUGAR
     10)  SUNFLOWER OIL 5-6 tbspn
    11) CORNFLOUR A PINCH
    12) SPRING ONIONS CHOPPED



PROCEDURE

Heat a kadai or any round bottom pan according to your convenience...Add the oil now..Throw in the sliced chillies and the garlic..Stir for a minute and add the chicken with the chopped onions ..Keep stiring the chicken for about 2-3 minutes and add the deskinned chopped tomatoes...Now add the red chilly sauce, pepper powder, a pinch of sugar , soy sauce , cornflour and two glasses of water...Stir it until the chicken is cooked  and add salt to taste ..Garnish with some spring onions..Serve  hot with fried rice :)
